The Dam, Rocket of Ransom is by RED RANSOM who is arguably one of the best broodmare sires in history. As a broodmare sire, RED RANSOM gained prize earnings of over $245M. He has sired 300 stakes winners and 15 Group 1 winners, including RED RULER and ROLL OUT THE CARPET and Bluebloods’ own SECRET AGENDA, who was trained by Mick Price. Rocket of Ransom was a winner at 1200m. This colt is her 2nd foal. She is a half to stakes performer SHAHRASAL and 7 time winner, CERTAIN ELLIE and closely related to Group 1 winners YELLOW AGATE, RAINBOW QUEST, and COMMANDER IN CHIEF. ONGOING EXPENSES AND MMF
The Ongoing Expenses consist of a $77 flat Monthly Management Fee (MMF) per owner, regardless of share percentage. The remainder of the fees are the Ongoing Expenses for the horse billed monthly, in arears, which are split between the owners based on their percentage held. The following are estimated total monthly costs based on averages, as the Ongoing Expenses for the horse do vary depending on the current whereabouts of the horse i.e. training, spelling etc. The following amounts include both the $77 MMF and the average Ongoing Expenses combined:
- 2.5% – $162 estimated total monthly cost
- 5% – $247 estimated total monthly cost
- 10% – $417 estimated total monthly cost
The first monthly fees will be due on the 1st July 2024

What a breathtaking specimen this guy is!
Every step he’s taken on his journey so far has pleased us immensely and his breaker, Sam Fasher of Bella Jane Lodge is very upbeat about him as you will hear in the video below.
Often breakers will tell you “he’s still very immature” or “he’s taking his time getting it” but not this colt. He knows exactly what he’s doing and once Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr get a hold of him, they will turn him into a lean, mean, running machine!
Expect him to be an early proposition, possibly even a pre-Christmas 2yo and being such an athletic, good sized, well proportioned individual we may not have to geld him.
Imagine owning him as a colt and going into a race such as the Gr1 Blue Diamond, like many owners will be doing this Saturday!
